US Stock of the Day – Oct 14, 2026: ASML Holding <ASML>

Wednesday, October 14, 2026

On October 14, 2026, the most talked-about US stock online is ASML Holding<ASML>.
Background: ASML of the Netherlands, the world's largest maker of lithography systems that print circuit patterns on chips and also listed on the U.S. Nasdaq, reported its July-September 2026 results on October 14. Net sales hit a record €11.7 billion, near the top of its guidance, and net income was €5.0 billion, including a €500 million revaluation gain on an investment. Gross margin came in at 57.5%, above guidance, and the company raised the low end of its 2026 net sales outlook to €44 billion-€45 billion from €43 billion-€45 billion in July. It bought back about €4.1 billion of shares in the quarter. On the other hand, it no longer discloses quarterly bookings, and some said that makes momentum harder to gauge. After the results came out on the afternoon of October 14, semiconductor stocks were sold in Tokyo and the Nikkei Stock Average turned negative.
